Bout of Books 7.0 Goals and Updates

Bout of Books

Well Bout of Books 7.0 is officially here and like I said yesterday, I'm so excited to get started on my first readathon! Be sure to check out the Bout of Books Website for any and all information relating to Bout of Books 7.0.

GOALS
My goals aren't huge for this as it's the first time I've done anything like this and I'm not sure how it's going to fit in with my day to day life yet, but I'm hoping to get quite a bit of reading done. I'm going to focus on some Kobo books I have sitting on my ereader that haven't been getting any love recently.

I would really love to read at least four books this week.

My other goal is to get involved in the twitter chats and comment a lot.

BOOKS I PLAN ON READING
  • The Rose Throne by Mette Ivie Harrison (this is kind of cheating since I've read quite a bit already, but I'd love to finish this one)
  • The Waiting Tree by Lindsay Moynihan
  • Questions of Travel by Michelle de Kretser
  • Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins
  • Smooth Talking Stranger by Lisa Kleypas
  • The First Rule of Swimming by Courtney Angela Brkic
  • Amity & Sorrow: A Novel by Peggy Riley
  • Dare You To by Katie McGarry

    1. I really enjoyed Pushing the Limits. McGarry's take on the the whole bad boy trope was interesting, none of her characters felt like cut outs. I hope you like it when you get to it!

    1. Thanks! I was actually surprised by how much I liked it. Religious cults and fanaticism aren't something I'm an expert on by any means, but I thought it was a really interesting look into it. Also, the story was just very touching, hearing about this one women, her daughters, and her broken expectations.

  8. I loved Amity and Sorrow (and it's short so that makes it an excellent readathon book). Hoped you enjoyed it too.
