    This Week's Prompt
TOP TEN 2013 DEBUTS I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO

1. The Tragedy Paper - Elizabeth Laban

This book was released last week, but I haven't had a chance to read it yet. But I neeeed to. Albino high school student falls in love with the popular girl. Major thesis called the tragedy paper looms. Elite prep school setting. How could I not want to read this one? |Goodreads|

2. How My Summer Went Up in Flames - Jennifer Salvato Doktorski

You guys! This is crazy! A teenage girl sets her cheating boyfriend's car on fire. Then she goes on a road trip with the neighbour boy next door? This pretty much sounds like the perfect book for summer. Also, road trip! So excited for this one. |Goodreads|

3.Canary - Rachele Alpine

Another prep school setting but this time with major major drama. Assault, secrets and lies. Keep you on the edge of your seat potentially heartbreaking drama? Yes please. Seriously just read the summary. Also, beautiful cover. |Goodreads|

4. Bird - Crystal Chan

This one sounds like such a tearjerker. Like seriously, a girl is born the day her brother dies. Secrets are revealed years later. Plus a mysterious new boy with the potential for romance. |Goodreads|

5. The Symptoms of My Insanity - Mindy Raf

The blend of comedy and tough times is a major draw for me. And this high school student just sounds realistic and fun with a side of hypochondria. |Goodreads|

6. The Rules for Disappearing - Ashley Elston

A girl is forced to join the Witness Protection Program with her family and she has no idea why. Okay, first of a book about the Witness Protection Program? Um yes. Also this one sounds like it's filled with thrills and mystery. |Goodreads|

7. Uses for Boys - Erica Lorraine Scheidt

This is the typical girl from the wrong side of the tracks love story, but I am so into it. But you know, a gritty take on it. With a girl who uses boys for her own purposes. So many issues to unravel here. |Goodreads|

8. Dr. Bird's Advice for Sad Poets - Evan Rosko

I'm such a sucker for books that reference other books. The summary for this one alone has a hell of a lot of references to Walt Whitman so I'm in. |Goodreads|

9. The Ruining - Anna Collomore

This book is all mysterious and sinister sounding. Love it. Is the girl looking for a better life going crazy now that she's in this super nice place or is there something super sinister going on? I need to know! |Goodreads|

10. Severed Heads, Broken Hearts - Robyn Schneider

Honestly, it's all about the cover on this one. So pretty. I love it. The summary sounds pretty great too though and it mentions a group of misfits who love to read. Need I say more? |Goodreads|

  3. thanks for anticipating DR BIRD. If you're a fan of Whitman, I don't think you'll be disappointed (though I'm terribly biased.)
